Here’s the latest draft of my new novella, Presence.

Give it a read and let me know what you think. Any feedback—stuff you think could be added, changed, improved, or whatever—is very much welcome.

Note: The format isn’t supposed to be perfect for publishing, just decent enough to make it easy to read as a .pdf for now. So don’t worry too much if I’ve broken some of the best-practice rules for how a manuscript should be formatted; simply enjoy. 🙂

You’re also welcome to check out my other short story, Outside, if you haven’t read that yet:

  1. I read your short story outside and loved it. I also hate it because it left me wanting more lol. Ever thought about extending it?

    1. Thank you very much for taking the time to read it. 🙂

It’s really only intended as a short story that’s supposed to leave you to decide what happens next, or what’s “outside” as it were, but I do actually have a rough idea for a sort of sequel/parallel story that links with it and maybe explains it a bit more (to a degree). Who knows if I’ll ever write it though.

      😮

      1. While reading, I was working on different theories. Like the dad was actually nuts and nothing was going on outside. But, after Sam showed up, I dropped that idea and started to think that the dad was a part of a ruthless, post apocalyptic gang. After leaving with Sam, he never comes back nd the kids go on an adventure to find him…..my mind wanders lol.

I do hope you write it, but it’s also pretty cool leaving it up to the reader (no matter how far off we are ^_^ ).

        1. Well, the main thing I did when writing the story was to try and make sure that whatever each person’s theory of what is outside, it would/should be perfectly plausible (within the general ideas presented in the story of course). Both your theories are very solid. 😀
