YouTube’s copyright claim and takedown system really is totally broken at this point in time. In many ways it’s pretty much illegal, or at least a whole lot of the copyright and takedown claims are abusing the law to the point of absurdity (and not in a funny way). The following video sums up the issue rather well:
If I had the means to do so, I’d actually try to figure out a way to bring some kind of class action lawsuit against Google and/or a bunch of the companies involved in these insidious claims—because this really needs to be addressed sooner rather than later—but I don’t, so for now I’ll just share the message.
